Hi, I am Michael! I was born in Shanghai, moved to Montreal several years back, went to high school in New Jersey, and currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley, studying computer science and mechanical engineering.
I enjoy doing work related to software / hardware optimization. In fall 2023, I joined Formula Electric at Berkeley and worked on developing a fully custom 600V Li-ion battery, using python as a tool to optimize power efficiency. In Summer 2024, I joined KiDrone, a startup working on drone reforestation, to full-stack design a flight path generator and optimizer for military-graded drone from scratch.
In my spare time, I love playing competitive ultimate frisbee, watching FRC events, playing guitar and handpan, tinkering projects, and exploring vintage shops.
